I don’t sign up to the de-growth narrative, I think its a losing battle as it goes against our fundamental nature as a species, how we have constructed and advanced our societies, and the evolutionary trajectory of the human spirit It's not about scaling back an economy and consumption patterns based on creating stuff, it's about changing what we value.

What could be more valuable than the environment we live in, the biodiversity that supports it, and the way we interact in our patterns of human settlement

If we change our value system to decouple from stuff and peg it to natural capital and the abundant resources that can be generated from them, then it's not de-growth we want but exponential regrowth as we terraform this beautiful planet beyond anything it has seen before.

So what’s the plan? What are the leavers we need to pull to shift our species and the globally industrialised economic machine we have created to support ourselves, and secure ourselves against the infinite dangers of the uncontrolled chaos of life?

But before you dig out the old Tie Dye t-shirts and throw away the deodorant lets be clear, this is not a flashback from the 70’s, this is an incredibly technical and highly mechanised revolution of the human spirit, a fusion of new and old political practices, back to the true principles of participatory democracy backed by the incredible technological opportunities of a Web3, decentralised society

A regenerative economy geared on the true value of the planet, clean water, fresh air, abundant biodiversity, harnessing energy, and that undefinable living connection between all things

A Universal Basic Income that lifts populations to a baseline above scarcity, reactivating the minds, genius, and potential of every single human on the planet, but still leaving enough room and opportunity for those that are incentivised to go above and beyond in innovating and shaping our future

A globally coordinated species that take their place as custodians of their planet and maps a path of transition from Earthbound, through off-world, to a multi-planetary species

Why on Earth would we want to bottle all that potential, turn back millions of years worth of evolution, and bury it in the bottom of a degrowth pit?
